Alpha Omega Epsilon

is a professional and social sorority composed of female students and alumnae in the field of engineering and technical sciences. The sorority was founded on November 13, 1983. The idea of uniting female engineers of all curricula continues to spread to other campuses nationwide.

The Xi Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon was founded at Clemson University on Saturday, August 21, 2004 by 18 sisters, and became officially recognized on August 23, 2005.

Taylor Jones joined Alpha Omega Epsilon Xi Chapter as a sophomore at Clemson University. After loving every minute of her time in the organization, she wanted more and wanted to be able to continue supporting the Active Chapter and keeping ties with Alumnae. After starting a job in her field and understanding what it takes to be an engineer, she, more than ever, wanted to support the Active Chapter to

prepare them for their occupations and offer support to help them succeed. To start the process she garnered a lot of interest and collaborated with those interested sisters, with many ideas on how to make the Alumnae Chapter a success. The inaugural class of Alpha Omega Epsilon included numerous recent graduates, giving the Alumnae the opportunity to keep ties with the Undergrad Chapter.

Promoting friendship, leadership, and professionalism in engineering and technical sciences since 1983 during the initiation of the Alumnae Chapter. It also includes sisters from many occupations and areas of the nation, and this diverse group will be able to provide opportunities and support to each other and the Active Chapter. The sisters hope to found the Alumnae Chapter to continue to support the Active Chapter as much as possible, including through Fundraising Activities and Service Projects.
